"NANA" composed by María Luisa Anido (based on a melody by Alfonso el Sabio) - performed by Annette Kruisbrink (www.annettekruisbrink.nl).
María Luisa Anido González began studying the guitar with her father Juan Carlos Anido at a very young age. Her father entrusted her to Domingo Prat, a student of Miguel Llobet. She was 9 years old when she played her first public concert. María Luisa Anido has been a revelation to me, the impression it made on me will never be wiped from my memories, it is an impression that surpasses the imaginable..., said Miguel Llobet. From that moment the 12 year old María Luisa became a student of Llobet. Shortly after that they formed a duo and made several records. María Luisa Anido received overwhelming success worldwide. For many years she was professor of the guitar at the conservatory in Buenos Aires, where she taught many of Argentinas best-known guitarists, and later taught in Cuba at the invitation of the government. She composed several pieces for guitar solo, a.o. Aire norteño, Canción del Yucatán, Preludios Nostálgicos and Impresiones Argentinas.
Wonderful piece and very well played, bravo! Do you know where is it possible to find the score?
