Sorry, but you're both a couple of fucktards; even worse, however, you're a misguided pedant.
This song is an old Appalachian dirge that's been recorded as early as the 20s, and its roots go way, way back before that, possibly as early as the 1770s, which was not an era known for spelling or grammatickal (yes I did that on purpose) consistency. Furthermore, Appalachia is not a region known for spelling and grammatical consistency.
So both of you stfu and enjoy the song.
