is this your first planeGraham?I have a tutor 40 @ the moment & was thinking of getting a wot4 or the acrowot. What (pardon the pun)do you suggest?I've been flying for about two years now,but only on high wing.

@gmiles46 Both the WOT4 and Acro Wot are legendary models, I've flown a dozen or so models and the WOT4 is one of my favorites, never had an Acro Wot myself. My second model was a Pulse XT 40 and was my favorite model for a long time until it performed a vertical landing! The WOT4 would be the more beginner orientated but the Acro Wot should be brilliant, of the two I'd build the Acro Wot. The Acro Wot is not ARTF... yet... Ripmax do have plans to release an AcroWot ARTF but who know when.

So futaba compatable with spektrum gear then.I was looking at the hitech gear but don't know which ones to go for, Ish bbetter than metal gears?I'm on a tight budjet lol.(i to have kids lol)

@gmiles46 All servo's are compatible, the only variation is that on Futaba's there is an extra bit of plastic on the side of the plug but this can be cut or filed off very easily. Metal gears are better but the WOT4 doesn't really push too hard on the servo's.
If you wanted to fly with vary high rates (so the control surfaces move lots - for 3d flying etc...) then better servos would be essential but for normal flying any standard size servo will work in a WOT4. Hitec, or Futaba servo's are ok

which servos did you use?

@gmiles46 I used Futaba S3003 servo's. but any standard size servo would be fine.
