I am in awe of my husband's tenacity and patience in converting to Judaism via the Orthodox Bet Dein in our community, a group of otherwise kind rabbis who seem to delight in torturing potential converts and making them cry. And I am furious with the current anti-convert sentiment amongst the rabbinate in Israel particularly. Keep up the good work!

This is not true in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. If you do know someone from the shul, you are welcome to enter.

@fniski This is not true, I've been to latin america many times and the policy is that non Jews are not allowed to enter a synagogue even if they meet with the rabbi before hand.. In many places many arent even allowed to purchase kosher food... If it was just security just frisk them and let them in..

As a jew from latin america (Brazil) I must tell you something. The reason why not anyone can enter in a synagogue there is ONLY because of security issues. Try to become more informed about neo nazism in Latin America and the deficient Police and deficient prison system, which encourage crime. It will be a chilul ashem if you don't post a video correcting what you said, and saying the truth: that the shuls in latin america are not open to everybody just because of security purposes ONLY.

I dont a gree that the reason is racism. You don't know that most converts to judaism today are fake and thats why the cummonuity has to very carefull with conversions. Its the same case with those who ask for Sedaqa who are crooks. The crooks save our lives becuase if they didn't exist we would have no excuse for not givign charity.
