1) pandharpur pilgrimage part1
Pandharpur Pilgrimage i.e. wari is a 1000 years old tradition. In this part, you can watch following events. 1) Departure of saint Dnyaneshwar mauli from Alandi. 2) Pune to Saswad travel through hilly range. 3) Gol ringan or round run. 3) Samaj arti or Morning Prayer.
I was observing & trying to understand power behind wari movement. Please watch the huge crowd, surrounding palkhi. Warkari has best qualities and simple life style. Warkari lives with minimum needs. Warkari stays close to the nature. Warkari has awareness of protecting nature. Warkari is having tremendous faith in god called bhakti. I was witnessing tremendous energy immerging from huge crowd of warkaris. This was unbelievable moment. I was beginning to understand.
Gol Ringan or Round run.
It is belief of warkaris that Dyaneshwar mauly is riding on the horse in invisible form. Therefore they collect soil from the ground on which horse was riding. They spread this soil in their farms & pray for good harvest.
Morning prayer or kakad arti
This puja is performed every day, early in the morning. It is belief of warkaris that dnyaneswar mauly exist today. He is near us in invisible form. Also he is within us and in every one around us. Therefore his feet on earth, in the form of silver sandals are honored by every devotee. This is why the padukas, silver sandals are worshiped with a great devotion during pilgrimage.
