The Grass Roots had multi-talented musicians who could sing and play instruments. Now we have singers who rely on flashy clothes and props to sell music.

@dudestr5552 sorry, but that's not Creed playing the guitar.

thank you so much for sharing this rare footage.

Man, Creed is owning that guitar and Rick is going to town on those drums. My personal favorite Grass Roots song - thanks for uploading.
-
Live track shows that Grill was a first-rate rock vocalist.

I was at this concert when I was 14. I loved the Grass Roots. It was the only time I saw them. Jimi Hendrix, Edgar Winter, the Rascals and Booker T played that day also, plus a lot of other people.

Does anyone out there have the rest of this video to share. I would love to buy a copy of this tape with the entire Grass Roots set on it.

Thank you for posting, Super Rare of the Real ROOTS! I love it.

Live performance wonderful. They sounded great. The two dancers crack me up though. Our generation was crazy good.
Thanks to Sixties Pop Gold for sharing this very rare live show by one of the greatests bands to come out of the 60's and California!

This is really an amazing video! I've been a fan for 40t plus years & hope to be 40 more. It's always such a pleasure to get on here & watch the videos over & over again but to find a new one is a real gift! It brings back so many great memories. I had a wonderful childhood & from about age 10 The Grass Roots have been a big part of it. They're the best in my book. Thanks so much for sharing this video, Rhonda
