@haveswordwilltravel Agreed! I would say this is a most of the noticable trick of "Salut" fencers. About 60-70% of lunges made as a fleche.

I admire the work that you guys do at your academy. I myself am studying the sword though I have in recent years, shied away from the historical weapons. Your videos of the saber bouts are especially thrilling.

Well yeah, it is a risky thing to do. We try not to overuse it but we still learn it and try it in combat. It can be nicely combined with closing the distance to infighting and wrestling.
