Everything a young student needs to learn is here. Obey, and be attentive.

I completely agree, it is an insult to the work of a great artist. Google go home!

You forgot the editing. The editing--the layering of images, is unique to Peter Greenaway. I'll bet you that the cinematographer didn't know Greenaway was going to do that with the images he shot--in fact, I heard there was a kind of dispute between vierny and greenaway regarding just that. Because this was the first feature where he used the complex layering of images (disregarding 'a TV Dante').

Oh, Ok. I'm sorry. I thought you were one of those Diablo Cody fans who go around dissing real films like 'Prospero's Books'.

@NeoTRP - thats the point I was making with my reply to The Tyaptyap! Your abusive reply was unwarranted, my abusive reply is- you supercilious twat.
I admire Greenaway's approach. He may be the only director who has tried, even if his intentions are far removed from Shakespeare's, to create images as rich in complexity as Shakespeare did in language rather than merely competently filming actors saying his lines.

I love this Greenaway's extraordinary delight for the eye adaptation of a classic "make it new". A wonderful kind of "gesamtkunstwerk"-merci
