Here's where we put it all together... remember to grab the free chromatic tuner software program from the blog - you'll find in near the top in the sidebar to the right of the blog post.

There is also more information on this project in the text of today's post at; http://rockfreakinsolid.com/2010/03/chromatic-tube-drums-the-project/

Within that post is also a link to the page of Hertz frequency numbers of all the notes within the human hearing range, so that you can use those values for the mathematical formula discussed two blog posts previous to this one on http://rockfreakinsolid.com - for finding the measurement of wavelengths in order to know how long to make these tubes for this project (or for how long to make the flutes in last week's project).

Come pay me a visit!

Any questions? Any requests for other instrument projects? Leave me some *comments* (on the *BLOG* lol)!!

Feel free to subscribe to this YouTube channel to be alerted when I put up some new stuff, if ya like ^_~

Next projects will be xylophones, the acoustic/electric bass guitar, and the bamboo saxophone (which can also be made from PVC and stuff).

Laters! ^_^

  • Sorry I accidentally flagged it!! I'm on my phone and it's touchscreen

But great video! I couldn't help but notice the awesome didgeridoo in the background. Ever thought about having vibration mics on the PVC base and plugging then onto an amp w/ overdrive? Try that out! I did with mine (slightly similar to yours, except it's bamboo and tuned with water)

  • @guitarhippies - well, by "vibration mic", would a Piezo-electric element count? That's what I use on it - it works killer! Thanks for the comment, dude! So... 'tuned with water'... I'm intrigued! How does that work out?

  • @guitarhippies - I'm such an idiot - you meant bass DRUMTUBE! Right? LOL!! Now I know what you meant about the water ahahahahaha COOL!!!! ^_^

  • There's a huge resemblance between your drum set and the setup for shooting fireworks...Pvc tubes in a rack... of course, yours is prettier...but wouldn't it be fun to play a set on those drums and then use them to shoot fireworks after?

  • @LilyISay - HELL, YEAH!!!! lol

  • That was soooo GAYY!!! U need a hair cut so shave your Mulet and get a f***ing hair cut u weirdo gay hippie

  • @TheAdog98 - Gay? You mean like the stuff on your channel? This is typical from a fifteen year old... who apparently doesn't even know what a mullet is, and what it's not. Do you tell *all* Native Americans to get a hair cut, or call them 'hippies'? Do you even know what hippies were?? (They were in the '60s... that was a decade from way before you were born, just so you know... ).
