wow the first two comments are crazy. and posted by people that have no idea of what bow hunting is about. any moron can get to three hundred yards of any wild animal and shoot it. and that guy realy thinks the max range of a 30-06 is just over 400 yards lol

Bow hunting hard? All bow hunters do all day is pour a bunch of deer piss on them selves, sit up in a tree stand, wait for a big buck to come a long. Then after they shoot it and brag about their epic hunting story. Not to mention they put food plots up so all the deer stay in one spot and grow huge. Rifle hunting, that's where its at you hike around large expanses of land, and if your lucky you come across that perfect buck and you lay down bring that gun up to your shoulder and fire your shot.

The smallest round you want to go hunting with, the 5.56x45mm or .223 Remington has a maximum range of 300 years. The most common, .30-06, has a maximum range of 450 yards while still being able to kill a deer. And a .338 Lapua can reach out and touch something at over a kilometer. Please do more research next time.
