  • Does it read .srt files??

  • @extenebrislux Yes!

  • will this work with a mac?

  • @neek247 Yes, it will work with a Mac.

  • i need help!! i have tons of avi movies in my computer and i'd like to store them in one of these things and then play those avi movies on tv with one of those hdmi cables. i found the "iomega screenplay plus HD 1tb". is that one good for what i want? do i need any codecs or whatever that is?

  • @0casteloencantado0 Iomega now offers the Iomega ScreenPlay MX HD Media Player which provides you with 1Tb or 2TB of capacity for all your movies. It offers support for many codecs and file formats including .avi. All you would need to do is transfer your files to the ScreenPlay MX or plug in your USB drive with your contect, connect the ScreenPlay MX to your TV and use the remote to watch the movies on your TV.

  • Is creating a folder and inserting the movie and subtitles the only way so the MX can read subs? Thanks

  • i can't get this thing to work on my windows 7 laptop. my computer detects it, but it does not show up in windows explorer. i cant add any files to it or see whats on the drive. HELP!

  • @iomegachannel Unfortunately that's not true! Screen Play Plus doesn't work eith mac. It works as a read-only. So it's quite useless on a mac, I have to use a usb device to copy from the Mac to the Screen Play Plus.

Is there a way to upgrade the SPP software? Will it read the .mkv file?

    Thanks for the answer.

  • i am using iomega screenplayer DX on Mac. why i can not drag any files to screenplayer folder? and when i click on screenplayer icon, it keep saying " No screenplay device found"

  • how do you connect macs wireless ive tried some media servers but none have worked.

  • @HiNo202, With Directory you can either connect it directly to the computer via USB or you can connect it to a network and copy files across the network. Like with the Plus, you can also connect flash drives and hard drives directly to the device and play or copy their content.

  • @0casteloencantado0, hey. Sorry if your question has been answered or you already got one, but I got one a few days ago and it plays AVI files on your TV :-)
