  • Quite disrespectful towards standard schooling, as if it's all complete crap.

Indoctrination. Does that cover religion too?

  • hey belle, i don't know if you've already had this answered, but there are no compulsory tests at the moment. i home schooled my daughter 'till she was thirteen (i think of it as hand-made education) and now she attends park shool here in devon which is run on democratic lines. good luck with it. : ]

  • Do you have to test your child once a year for state purposes? Like in California, students even homeschool students take the SAT"S. Do you have a structured learning enviroment? As far as your children learn science , english etc. Thank you for the video. I just started homeschool and I have found it to be a little stressful. My son was in public school , and he was falling behind and didn't seem to be advancing, I decided to homeschool.

  • i just got back from one of monkton's family weeks. it's truly magical and everybody there is special to me. i totally agree with your video and wish i'd been brought up like that.

also, what is the music playing in the background? it's so relaxing.

  • Lovely video.

I have been home educated since the age of seven, and this video really sums up all my feelings and memories of home education.

I particularly agree with the quote, "children learn independently, not in bunches."

We all have our own way of learning.

    :)

  • A fantastic video, having home educated my son for the last 6 years it brought back many memories of our open air adventure of learning. Thank you.
