I grew up about a mile from this thing. To this day, I think it is not only the best sounding thunderbolt I have ever heard, but the loudest and scariest siren I have ever heard period. This thing was tweaked and tuned up into a higher register than most tbolts, and believe me, your eardrums shook even from several miles out. I hope they keep it in action for a long time to come.

@amtrak3501 ALL of Genesee County Sirens are test at 1pm on the First Saturday of the month. And always ATTACK followed by ALERT.
