@Teeklip lol that's ok i don't mind answering questions :p
can look for adult newts in ponds between April and August is probs the best time. I find just standing still on a bank and watching for any movement is good. If u don't see anything, just keep moving round the pond. Kenfig again is a good place for this, Baby newts r still cool tho! Could try looking where you found that one as bound to be adults somewhere around there too :)
@MountainlionWales ok thank you very much, I'll search for them this summer, what about newts, how can I see them, I've seen one in afon cefni but it was a baby???(sorry if I seem to be bothering you) :)
u can find them in areas of rough tussocky grassland, and can also be in areas of sand dunes. if u know Kenfig nature reserve there are lots there - but u have to look very carefully coz they can move very fast. Other places u can look is under things like corrugated tin sheets that are lying about sometimes, and other junk (but take care incase of sharp things!) Can also see them in bracken / heather habitats, basking at the edges next to more open areas in these habitats.
@Teeklip no worries - coolie! :)
