he uses a voltage regulator IC for his 5volts supply for the other IC....
a 555timer IC for generating a clock pulse....
with 2 potentiometer to control clock pulse....
and 3 or 4 other ic a J-K flipflop maybe...
we created that project before when i was in college. and really love logic circuits...

The two "controllers" are Potentiometers. They are variable resistors whose resistance can be changed. That's why he's moving em' around; to make the LEDs light up fast and slow.

and what are those controllers the greens ou touchoing what are they call. listen i have some chips that are res network i dont know how to use them do they make the leds go slow and fast? but still icant understand why you put those chips explain me with steps and diagrams if you can

on the "chips" are miniature electronic circuits that don't take up too much space and power, these chips or circuits can also store data information of 1's and 0's that represent text, images, sounds, etc
