  • Thanks for the view 73 de 5P0CW

  • not sure why some think these are junk, i had one in Kuwait and Iraq , n kuwait it was on a 18 story building and went through many sand/wind storms for 4 years (kuwait) of very high winds temps of 130+ degs plus being shipped all over the world beat up n shipping.N Iraq 2 years and it always worked fine. the only problem is i could never get 6mtrs to tune with a auto tunner otherwise it worked fine and i worked lots of people from 9k2 and YI9

  • Ahoj. Zaujala ma tato malicka antena. Ako si s nou spokojny? Ako na nej chodia DX signaly? Ako je to u nej so sumom a rusenim? Dakujem za video :)

  • A friend of mine had the problems with the traps, the 10m one went O/C, plus 'belling' where one section slid into another from constant rocking to and fro in the wind led to wobbliness. He used slots and hose clips instead and had no further trouble. What can you say? It wouldn't be my choice, I prefer wire antennas, but if you don't have space, you have to make do. It'll work DX, but those loaded radials aren't great. Worked against resonant elevated radials or a good ground would be better.

  • @24nov67 no they are not made with quality in mind.

you would be better off with a wire mutiband (carolina windom etc)

  • @2E1FU. ive been a CLASS "A" ham for 25 years, i know a thing or two about antennas, and these are junk.... listen to experience.

if you trawl through youtube you will find a video on how to repair it when it goes wrong.. AND YOU WILL NEED IT BEFORE LONG, just give it time. crap

  • @weazlechin Agreed, the traps break first as the elements are held on by just one rivet! I would expect better from Diamond, but the VHF/UHF range isn't much better either. Cheap construction and cheap materials.

I wouldn't buy one as they are overpriced and with the addition of a few coils and sleeves you can make one from a silver rod CB antenna for a fraction of the cost.

  • Yeah Yeah Crap maybe to you there nothing wrong with mine love it CP6 very nice OM7ADD DE 2E1FUE QSL nice video

  • these antennas are junk. they break easily and are very expensive.

  • BOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYS
