The prophecies of Nosferatu (old european scholar or stoic or something) apparantly came true, all of them, Until a Point. Since a certain point, none of these things have come through, thankfully, cos alot of them were negative.

It may be that whatever 'level' of existance these 'Prophets' are on Within their lifetime dictates the possibilities that they were able to see.

Perhaps the Mayan's are wrong.
