You can't win over conservative voters without appealing to their bigotry. If the vast majority of conservative believe blacks are bad people then you have to appeal those voters who are now the base of the republican party. With that being said Herman Cain wasted his time because it will be centuries before conservatives even consider a black ( and other minorites) for president.

Subconscious racism? The reason blacks are not trusted among other races is because of some bad apples. Same as the whites, some were involved in the slave trade now I'm a bad guy. Give me a break.
