Sri Rudram is a beautiful Vedic Hymn in praise of Rudra, the Supreme Lord of Tapas.

This video contains the recitation pertaining to the first anuvaka. The English transliteration and (not-so-authentic) translation can be found at: http://www.astrojyoti.com/namakam.htm

Om Tat Purushaya Vidhmahe
Mahadevaya Dheemahe
Thanno Rudra Prachodayath.

Hare Krishna- Om namah Shivaya I agree with you sir and also like to add that we should preach and tell the knowledge of our vedic texts like Bhagvad GITA, Puranas etc. to our children, friends and also read & discuss them regularly instead of wasting time in movies &TV. Even people in western world are preaching the Sanatan-Vedic religion honestly. If we know our Vedic knowledge deeply then only we can do this.

thats a name tag stuck.... the truth os a brahmin thread is not a certificate...

Let mercy be the cotton, contentment the thread, Continence the knot and truth the twist. O priest! If you have such a thread, Do give it to me. It'll not wear out, nor get soiled, nor burnt, nor lost. Says Nanak, blessed are those who go about wearing such a thread

  • its the same thing which agastya, bhogar, thirumoolar, and all the siddhas said.. its what jesus chritst taught humanity.. its what guru nanak taught.. its what sai baba taught ... ram and rahim is one and the same...

Anbe sivam.. love lord thy god with all thy heart.. love thy neighbour...

    Thiruchitambalam!!!!!

  • does't brahmin mean those who resemble the brhaman (who are close to it/him/she)? If you are born a brahmin sais that would technicialy give you an advantage, but it no more of an adventage then a person born with higher intelligence. Willpower is te key. Willpower creates the proper mentality that craetes the proper conduct and by that a brahmin is detected, not by his birth, that is superstition form ignorance

  • @IdoCareForPeople You are an idiot.Every where u bloody man start making nonsense. We need to be united Hindu .Forget the bloody history and make the present pleasant and peaceful

  • @thiruvalluvar God helps no one who does not try and help themselves.
