  • What is the black thing connected with the vinyl tube?

  • It is a clamp that is holding the hose till the glue dries that's all

  • hey what was that red material you used as an indicator? Thanks a lot

  • All I did is add food-coloring to the water to make it show up better. The red thing that you see on the video is just a clamp that I have holding the vinyl tube until the glue drys.

    Bonze

  • You got it any questions feel free to ask I will do my best to help

  • sorry for the double post but wondering would it also affect reading using different size tubing ? I do have some oxygen line less than 1/4" . the tube I am about to test from is 1/2" inside

I was planning to tape up the smaller utube so it acted like a cork.

  • My question is, Would the reading be affected if a person used like vegetable oil or any light oil. I remembered your Vid you had before--- Now I need one to check crank case pressure out of a small engine I came back and decided to build one My object being that an oil may give a steadier reading., because of the viscosity?

  • actually, a brand name water Manometer can be expensive. over 100 bucks.

  • uhm hello..if you don't mind me asking.. what is the measure of the vinyl hose?

  • OK! THANKZ

  • I watched your video with great interest. Im trying to diagnose a problem with a RV refrigerator and needed to make one of these manometers. After using my homemade U tube meter I was quite confused as to why the readings I got were so low. It would have been helpful if you stated the one inch readings need to be doubled or marked off in half increments and numbered every half inch.
