The famous song from Broadway and West End hit musical Les Miserables 'I dreamed a dream' sung by the character Fantine. Ruthie Henshall played Fantine here in the 10th Anniversary Concert at the Royal Albert Hall London giving an amazingly moving performance. One not to be missed.

The DVD and soundtrack are available now and can be found on Amazon.

It's truly sad that people only know the movie now. They will never know about Colm Wilkinson. Or how Patti LuPone was the first amazing Fantine. Those of you who say that Les Miz is your life, try talking to die heart fans of the musical since they were two. Then try to say its your life in front of those of us who find the beauty in this show, not just Hugh Jackman as Valjean.

You're completely right and I agree 100% and I'm sorry for not being more clear. What was irritating me was people making ignorant remarks like "Who is this woman, trying to copy Susan Boyle and Anne Hathaway?... She shows no emotion at all, etc".

Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy the movie has introduced so many people to this brilliant musical and gone on to learn more about it!

There's nothing bad about having discovered the book because of the musical. I read the book first, but in order to see the movie. You're a great fan, you wanted to go deeper, not all the people do that!

I discovered Les miserables because of the movie, and now I've seen almost every version available on the internet and read the book. Does that make me less of a fan? A complete illiterate. I'm sorry for not being born with the knowledge of everything in this world, I've been researching other things as well.

Now let people who saw the movie discover this amazing performance and discuss about it regardless of how they got into it.

Anne's performance on the screen was great, the challenge for her is to reproduce that live on stage..I've seen this show dozens of times in NY and London as well as amateur productions and i enjoyed and was moved on each and every occaision either by the superstars of musical theatre or school amateur production..
