Human Be-In 1967

The Human Be-In gathering at San Francisco's Golden Gate Park in 1967 occurred before Woodstock. Allen Ginsberg & Timothy Leary showed up with thousands of their friends. I was a student at UC, Berkeley at the time, and filmed this on regular 8mm silent film. This is the complete, unedited roll of film, transferred to VHS in the 1980's, and digitized in 2009.

There are 2 songs used. You are correct that the first is "Plastic Fantastic Lover". The second is "Embryonic Journey". Both songs are from the same Jefferson Airplane album. You Tube somehow identified and advertised the second song, and remained silent about the first song.

This is my dad's video. I am currently 21 and attending college - and all I can say is I wish my generation could group together for a movements like this rather than doing so virtually through social media.
