i agree killing is NEVER good no mater what but it is required ,same thing for war. i do not know what happy would you live in but it is not this one... even thou war has it limit too but even in it's limit it will never seem moral to you but it dose not mean you need to stop the war..

You're missing my point. What you or I have to say doesn't matter any more than what anyone else has to say. But people should get accurate, realistic reporting on their govt's activities, including war. That way, if they choose the path of war they do so knowing and accepting the real consequences, and not because they've been fed some dishonest fairy tale about how they're kind and just. I don't think you can conduct a just war based on lies and deception - I think it is impossible.

the biggest mistake in the second lebanan war it was letting the press come and report it was a such a bad mistake that it was the reason we lost..when you let the media scum all over your attracts, booming you start too change tactics it because the pressure from government's ,people and more...war is not pretty it is not for the public yeas..besides when reporters go in to a battle field you have to protect them that lowers success..do not git this wrong this is war

If the people can't handle the reality of the war their govt is engaging in, then that war s/ stop. If your moral authority as a country lies in deceiving your population & other countries into thinking your behavior is better than it is - which is what you're talking about - I think you're on the road to totalitarianism.

I want the gory details of war printed everywhere - so people can make real decisions knowing the actual consequences of their nations' actions. Bet there would be less war.

For example: I think we ended the Viet Nam War because extensive, realistic coverage of it made people aware of the fact that it was an immoral war. I think we maintained the Iraqi occupation (the war On Iraq if not the war With Iraq) because there was no realistic coverage of our complete failure there.

I stick to my earlier assessment. You only hide things you're ashamed of and you should not do things you're ashamed of. Let people decide w/ real info - or do you not trust democracy?

But let me ask you a question - if Israel isn't doing anything wrong and their treatment of the people in Gaza is appropriate and legal, than why have they expelled all the journalists and refuse to let them come back? To me, there is no more serious and obvious evidence that they are doing wrong. If Israel weren't ashamed of its treatment of these people, it wouldn't be afraid to let people report on their condition.

the french resistance in world war 2 were considered terrorists by the german administration. i am confused has to how israel managed to get hamas classified as a terrorist organization,if in fact that is a legitimate claim or fact etc. After getting a fairly good hiding in lebanon less than 2 years ago does israel want to scare their unwelcome neighbours by terrorizing a ghetto that israel made themselves. i have no solutions but no sympathy for an israel that does not learn from history
