Part of the bring back the doctor campaign in about 1985

performed by a group of 30 mid-level celebrities under the banner "Who Cares".

Participants from Doctor Who included Colin Baker (the Sixth Doctor),

Nicola Bryant (companion Peri Brown),

Nicholas Courtney (recurring character Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart)

and Anthony Ainley (the Master)

The musicians who participated included members of the bands Bucks Fizz, The Moody Blues and Ultravox.

  • @cultmiester Same. I bet Colin Baker was really pissed off that he had to do it.

Also they should have used the William Hartnell quote: "One day, I shall come back, yes I shall come back" etc etc.

  • has anyone got the lyrics to this song

  • if this was a campaign to bring back doctor who, i think it did the complete opposite

  • this is a great song

  • The BBC were in distress them selves when this was recorded, the probably thought to them selves alright alright we'll bring it back that was when Beeb had drop the show for what was it now 17? so in Januray 1986 BBC1 put The Muppet Show whilst we had to wait til September of that year for Doctor Who we was promised more episodes whata Bloody Big Con that was, 14 half hour episode which should have been 14 45 minutes episodes

  • it's actually quite good until Colin Baker starts

  • the new series is still cool, (it wouldn't have lasted 5 years if it was the same format as the old series) but i think the old series has a certain magic to it which is hard to capture nowadays.

  • I was born in June 96 and I like both the new and old series. But I'm an American viewer.

  • Wow, that's something else!

  • 2:26: LOL cutting edge computer graphics!
