Started with Famous Trails. Got tons of coins from the beaches. Wanted to upgrade to something that would detect raw gold so I bought the White's GMT. I love the thing! Does anyone have this unit? Just want to know if you've had any success with it & what settings you use. I dug up a 1 oz nug. The reading and sound is pretty much the same for bullets, casings, copper. I dig everything just as I did when I found the nug. Those tin cans are frustrating! Thanks for the vid.

@muskypucker I started detecting 2 months ago and go out at least 3-4 a week. Love it! You never know what you will find under the ground. I don't know what to do when winter comes. I live in Canada and the summer season is short. I am not looking forward to sitting in the house. I know exactly what you are talking about. I love it! I use the Garrett Ace 250.

Something important this video does not cover is that it is very illegal to metal detect in many parks. You need to ask before detecting in a public park. You could face heavy fines and/or jail time if you do not. You can be charged with theft and vandalism...possibly worse if you inadvertantly disturb a grave.
