OBJECTION TO THE PSALMS BEING ABOUT CHRIST ALONE
OBJECTION: "David was a type of Christ, so even though there is a spiritual meaning in some of the Psalms relating to Christ, yet there is always a true literal sense about David. And if some Psalms are applied to Christ, it is only in a secondary sense - while the genuine, original, primary sense, is actually about David."
Answer to this objection: Yes. David was a type of Christ - in the sense that he was an anointed king and prophet appointed by God (but no more so than any of the priests/kings/prophets). Yes, David and all the priests/kings/prophets may be called visible representatives/messengers/officers of Christ.
But this does not prove that David (or any of priests/kings/prophets) were a type of Christ - in the sense of having experiences similar to Christ or typical of Christ’s states, frames, experiences.
Show us where David is, and where he was not, a type of Christ.
Because David cannot always be a type of Christ. Look at Psalm 40, where it says... “6 Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; You have opened ears to Me. You have not asked burnt offering and sin offering. 7 Then I said, Lo, I come, in the roll of the Book it is written of Me; 8 I delight to do Your will, O My God; and Your Law is within My inmost soul."
How did David typically offer up himself as a sacrifice or sin ...
It is music from Green Day. Thank God the lyrics are originally from Him. Let's try a little be harder to be creative for His Glory.

God's Law was not eliminated by the New Covenant. Rather, the Law is "put into our minds and written in our hearts" (Hebrews 8:10) by Yahweh as part of the New Covenant.

I love how the words turn blue. Reminds me of a guy a I knew who was a Christian, his favorite color that exact blue.

Sounds more like a cheezy midi version of Green Day's "Time of Your Life" than a worship song.
