there is still always a risk in this sport, i mean when ANYTHING goes 200mph its pretty much impossible to make 100% safe. like I SAID Nascar does the best they can. yes i know about dale, but nothing that terrible had happened before so no one thought that there WAS anything wrong with safety. for an improvement like the HANS then yes, it took a death, but that doesnt mean that Nascar is lazily sitting on their asses and twiddling their thumbs! every few races some new safety rule is released

I'm getting really sick of Nascer I mean come on does it have to take a driver getting killed or hurt to make Nascer make it safer this is one of those things that didnt have to happen Nascar has to get off their butt and fix this stuff! and fix it right!!

Why is it taht every time there is a crash the on-board camera shot is always from the back of the car? Where are all the videos from the roof and especially of the driver? The on-board coverage always sucks.

i think the crash would have been worse if it was in the old car,these new cars were heavier and more box like,the old one was lighter and had more of a longer nose to it,if it would have hit like that i think i could have flipped over and been even worse

It's hard crashes like this that are hurting Jeff's back. I feel bad that he's still doing this well in his career, and he could lose the '09 championship because of his back. I think he could still pull it off.

dude I know there is a risk with this sport but Nascar should be looking at all the tracks and all the cars and the drivers and they should be working to make them safer there is no way that anyone should have to get hurt really bad or get killed for them to wake up. oh and by the way I'm done fighting with you about it I guess your one of those people that always have to be right

ok so your saying just the point that I'm trying to make: it takes someone dieing or someone hurt really bad for them to make it safer lol ok so I guess we will just have to watch and hope that no one ever gets killed again because Nascar dont know how safe it is LOL and do I need to remind you about Dale? yeah I guess it does take someone dieing to make things better
