Wire and Wireless is the first company to implement a Ticketless Parking Station Using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera's. Lane Cove Council Market Square car park is the first car park in the World to use this technology. It represents the next evolution of parking. We're coming out of the dark ages of using paper tickets to a ticketless system. Drivers do not need to wait at the entrance any more, drive in and your license plate is recorded and stored in a database. There are exit camera's to verify that you have paid or that you are in the 2 hr free period. Payment can be made at the exit gate or pay machines. All the customer needs to do is enter their license plate details on the touch screen and proceed as with conventional payment system cash or credit card at the pay station. At the exit gate only credit card payment.
No more paper!!
Lane Cove Council will save on 400,000 tickets a YEAR!!!
Good for the trees and good for the environment!!
