The 2005 earthquake in Kashmir and the Northern Areas was Pakistan's biggest natural calamity. With thousands killed and millions displaced, entire cities were flattened, and entire communities were destroyed. In effect, the largest and most onerous reconstruction and rehabilitation program ever in the country's history was conceived was implemented. On the 2nd anniversay of the earthquake, Wajahat S. Khan speaks to Lt. General Nadeem Ahmad and checks off on the accountability sheet of ERRA, the government wing involved with post-earthquake disaster relief operations.
