  • I don't know all the details, but Max is no longer at KARE. I heard (from someone still working there) that he refused to cover a breaking news story - something about a doctor's appointment, and that led to his departure. I believe it was mutual - he was ready to retire and try something different. He's a great guy, an amazing pilot, and truly fearless. No idea what he's up to now. Thanks for the note.

  • Cool video, but one thing missing from all this coverage: whatever happened to Max? My friend's dad had lunch with Max many years ago (not long after this happened), and I seemed to remember him telling me that Max passed away. Is this true?
