those 02 monitors will be ready when you drive 50 mph within 50 minutes steady, it's for emissions safety if you were going to get it inspected at a required state such as new york or california , new jersey etc.

Is it useful when purchasing a new car? Would I be able to know if there are any OBD engine errors from a reader?
gfxcrx 10 months ago
@gfxcrx If the check engine light is on yes. I would think that as long as the car has the OBD2 port you could easily get most of the info you need. I'm running it in a 2000 Toyota Echo and it hasn't missed any codes that has popped up but I will be honest it give you the general code like: P0420 (catalyst system efficiency below threshold B1) but I am very happy with this purchase

does it display a voltage meter and engine temperatures?
rivtwins 1 year ago
@rivtwins Yes on engine temp shows Coolant and incoming air temp, the only volts I have noticed with volts were the O2 sensors. I think as far as battery volts it depends on the make and model of the car.
