MARATHON RAP

A while back I thought about runnin' a twenty-six,
I told my girl about it and she said, "You must be sick!"
But soon I started dreamin' of racin' and runnin' swiftly,
And then before I knew it I had Jenny joggin' with me!

Yeah I worked it out, copped some shoes, now I'm focused,
Got my act together, gave up hangin' with the jokers,
Ready to run a marathon, to push through every mile,
JX is doin' this, and doin' it with style!

I'm workin' with a team, this ain't about bein' number one,
My crew run run run, my crew run run.
This isn't about bein' fast, this isn't about a quick dash,
You try to sprint a marathon, you gon' arrive in dead last.

So yeah I keep a healthy flow, legs steady movin',
Ipod hooked up to the rhythm of my choosin'.
I'm cruisin' in my zone while other jokers be erratic,
They call me Forrest Gump 'cause my running is automatic.

Quit playin' get on your knees at the tabernacle
Me and my girl we out here workin' on our fitness,
We gonna finish strong, just watch and be a witness.
