@sptimmeh Thanks, yeah. The thing was that I was thinking too much when I was playing, hence the weird fills and drifting(and I was a little nervous). Stuff like this never happens for me at practices and studio playing, but always happens live(go figure). If you check out the part 2, I feel that me and the band were a lot more relaxed. I'm always working on my groove and keeping tight though. The hi-hats are hhx 13 groove hats, which I think sounds great. Maybe the camera mic added high freq's.

Fucking sick man, all I'd say is start focusing less on chops and more on groove. Laying down a solid foundation. This can be done be watching your Hi-Hat foot. Looks like you could develop your hihat sound... maybe its me but its a bit 'washy'..
