The Kahunaville Fire

Wilmington (DE) Firefighters make a great stop at a former city warehouse turned nightclub. The blaze took place in the city's revitalized Riverfront section, where developers would have preferred the eyesore be gone. Yes -- on The Christiana River -- it was gutted after the fire and is now a very cool chuldren's museum. filmlou

The fireboat is stationed about a 1/4 mile downriver on the Christina. Fireboat 7 had to cross under 3 drawbridges. The first was a breeze, and the second was up as well. But the third -- Market Street Bridge -- doesn't have a designated operator. The crew had to wait for 45 minutes for someone to show up and raise the bridge. Had there been an operator, Fireboat 7 might have beaten some of the land-based companies, and established the primary water supply for the job. FilmLou

yes they got thier prop caught in a fishing net so they stopped and made tunafish sandwiches and watched oprah on the boat cpts tv. it was nice :)
