Michael later found out that Nat had ran to Alex's room and was sitting by Alex's bed without talking.

At Nat and Alex's 2 days later.
T:Cooper,what are we doing here?
C:Michael wanted to talk to us.
D:Us,why not Nat?
C:Apparently he hasn't been talking,he also hasn't left Alex's side since he found out about the decision he and Michael have to make.
R:I feel so bad.
Q:We all do Rosie.
T:So where is Michael?
C:He went to take Nat new clothes and try to get Nat to come here and talk.
Michael came in.
C:Any luck?
M:(shakes his head)I just can't get him to move.
D:What did you want to talk about?
M:Well you all know about the thing me and Nat have to decide.
Q:Yeah.
M:Well Nat has refused to have any part of it,and i thought sice you guys are is closest friends...
C:That we would take Nat's place in the decision making.
M:Well,yeah.Will you plz.(He started crying)I just can't do it by myself.(he sat down and put his face in his hands)
R:(walked over and hugged him)We will help.
C:So what were you thinking?
M:Well if we keep Alex on the vinelator he will be stuck in the hospital the rest of his life,and knowing Alex it would drive him crazy.
C:So we should...
T:Pull the vinelator.
M:Sadly yes.
R:This is so awful.
D:(hugs her)Yes it is.
M:So it's decided,we're going to...
R:Don't say it.
M:I'm sorry.
They all go to the hospital and walk into Alex's room.Nat was sitting in the chair next to Alex's bed just starig at him.He didn't even look up when everyone else walked in.
T:(whispering to David)He is in the same spot and clothes as when we left him 2 days ago.
D:I know.
R:Hey Nat.
N:(no answer)
M:Well Nat we have decided what we are going to do.
N:(silence)
M:We have decided to take the vinelator out.
N:(he was still silent,but tears began to roll down his face)
R:(notice this and walked over ,sat next to him,and held his hand)
M:I'm going to go tell the doctor.
Michael left the room.
T:I can't believe this is happening.
D:Poor Alex.
Michael came back in with the doctor.
Doctor:I'm going to tell you what is going to happen.I'm going to take the vinelator out,Alex may cough.I am going to give him some medicine so he doesn't suffer when you know...Becuz when he starts to go it will be like he is suffocating,but with the medicine he won't feel a thing.
Everyones faces turned white.
M:We understand.
Doctor:Good.Well it should be just a couple of hours before,well you you know what.
R:(helped Nat up and moved him so the doctor could get to Alex.
Doctor:(started to take the vinelator out)
N:NO!STOP!(he tried to run forward but Rosalina grabbed him)
R:(quietly)Stop Nat.
The doctor continued to take it out.
N:(crying)NO DON'T,Please.(he was still trying to get away)
R:It's ok Nat.
N:(He stop trying to get away and slid down the wall to the ground crying)Don't.Please don't.
Rosalina sat down on the floor with him and hugged Nat.
R:It's ok.(she started to cry too.
Doctor:(done taking it out,Alex started coughing)There it's done.I'll let you guys be alone.
No one said anything for a while.Nat was still on the ground crying and Rosalina was still hugging him.Then the one of the machines beeped.Everyone looked at it,it showed that Alex's heart and breathing rate was slowly decreasing.
