  • i use nitrous to relic my guitars too, but i use a diferent meathod. First i fill a large balloon wit nitrous, then i inhale it, then i pass out and smash my face on the guitar. I acually looks real too

  • I cannot stop thinking about this.

    That is a $2000 guitar.

How much is the player actually going to pay to get a guitar with 20-30 years of it's lifetime burned away ?

What happens to an artificiially aged top when it really gets old ?

  • @jimashtube I have a J-50 I bought for 5 dollars that I found in the back of a second hand store extremely relic'd, I wish i could have traded these idiots.

  • P R E T E N T I O U S

  • Dude, my Gibson L-00 has the same type of finish, and I play it a lot, and mine looks even better and even more worn in after 4 years of use. When it comes to these nice acoustics, just play them, and they'll look worn very quickly!

  • you guys are a bunch of pussies. it's his damn guitar. let the man do what he wants with HIS guitar. i understand where a lot of you guys are coming from, but come on

  • There ought to be a law against this sort of thing.

  • Well...it's all good and true...but lets say I'm 35...to get a Strat to look like a well worn piece will take 20 years of sustained playing..even giging...not the little sessions in the bedroom 3 times a week...

So if you like the look of a well worn Strat or whatever..go for it..

I bet all of you are walking around in the "brand spanking new..starched..almost black, stiff navy Levi's..that will take 5 years to look good!

Yeah...how many of you have bought the "worn look ones"?....come on...

  • You sad misguided posers....

  • I can almost understand relicing an electric guitar but doing such a thing to a good acoustic guitar is just blasphemous.

  • I have a 1963 Gibson J50....and what these guys did doesn't even replicate finish checking as it naturally occurs. I agree with everone. Relicing is for d!cK$.

  • Relic'ing is for retards.
