@ArtemiyPavlov I actually now that ;-) My struggle was to define what is the 2-step beat pattern, because on the net it's not easy to find out. I'm also lost (with pleasure) in the jungle of dubstep and its sub-sub-genres. in my opinion at ths point, dubstep has achieved an aestethic on its full own: no more dub (not that much, at least) and no more 2-step. it's a next big thing i guess (sorry for OT).

I'm pretty impressed with this little App also. As a guitar player, (....well, supposedly anyway...), I'm always looking for grooves, beats, etc, to jam over. This thing is great because even I can make simple grooves up, and they sound good, and are fun to play with. Great for the "creative process". Thanks for posting.

looks cool
this is so interesting. then the distinctive feature of 2-step is the irregularity of the kick drum? it's thrilling when the bassdrum kicks in with the 4-on-the-floor pattern: you immediately realize: "oh we're back in the house! ;-)". am I wrong?

@YouthOobe You'll be surprised that many dance/club styles are different only in the rhythmic part and instrument parts that follow it strictly. So yes, from 2-step to house or garage it's not that far.
