my boat was red metal flake and faded real bad in fact it was pink .
I cleaned it good stripped every thing off all hardware cleaned w/ wax and greese remover and sanded with 600 wet then used house of color intercoat clear base w/ red candy mixed hot and when the color was good, then I applied 4 good goats of tru finish auto clear and i was happy with the finish I got ,it was smoth so i never cut and buffed.
3 years later still looks like new.
