This is a quick peek inside an Earth History class taught by Professor of Geology Tom Eastler. The class briefly introduces students to the physical development of the Universe, Solar System, and planet Earth, and then investigates in more detail the physical and biological development of the Earth through geologic time. Topics include origin of the major geologic structures on our planet such as oceans and continents as well as the development of life in and on these major geologic environments through time. As you can see, our average classroom size is pretty small, about 19 students per classroom, which encourages close student and professor interaction and collaboration. This Geology class is taking place in Ricker Hall.
