If anyone knows how i can play my games in 1080p instead of 720p please tell me
on the ps3 home screen it runs on 1080p but games only run 720p and thats sad for a 400$ tv.

You cannot run games on 1080p if the game itself doesn't say it will. GTA4 is 720p (I think check the back of the box) so it will go to 720p, the TV may run at 1080p but some games won't.

Then hit X to save your setting / and click finish and that's it....

Now go to the game and start it up, and it will play at 1080p...

Actually the game can run at 1080p I do it all the time... it even says on the back of the box Supported HD video Output: 720p, 1080i, 1080p

Here is how you do it.. - On your playstation 3 / Under Settings - Go to Display Setting... click on it

you will see Video Output Settings / click it

you will then see a connection type / pick yours I use HDMI

Then select Custom / now click off 720p - 1080i -(480p does not come off)

and only check 1080p /480p this forces the game to only use 1080p

what i do to make it 1080p i just go to the display settings and make it so it only gos on 1080p and switch it back when the game doesent run on 1080
