A teen in the UK was fired by Ivell Marketing & Logistics for saying, "today my job was so boring" on Facebook.

you're obviously clueless about in life 'the way things ought to be' and 'the way things really are'... their brand (they provide a service, not a product) wont be damaged, their reputation, their hiring practices, etc. None of it is damaged... like I said, they have much stricter labor regulations and laws than you are used to in your "right to work" usa where workers have no rights... if there were a problem, the proper authorities would have raised those issues already. Who the hell are you to question a multi million dollar successful company's decision to rid themself of dead weight? Do you have all the facts of the situation? I been hearing about this in several sources, I totally agree with what you said. The Employer was nosing and was very harsh with firing the young girl. Im sure everyone says their job is boring on certain days depending on the job and day. The employer should discussed this matter with her instead of firing her if she is fed up then put her on to another job. This can be seen in jobs performence rate I never got fired for it cos it changed in my previous job.

no but i think she needed to get fired they were just looking for a reason and by stupidity she put that she hates work as her status, first of all u have to put fake name on facebook so people cant find you and second of all u have to put ur profile private so random ppl cant view ur profile
