Start up of the "Beast" 302 Windsor (only headers)

start up of the 302 (this decoded as a 302 that came out of a 1971 Ford Torino!), in this video the motor had idled for 10 minutes then shut off, then i grabbed the camera and did this video, and we forgot to check the transmission fluid so we checked it while it was warm, and it made a nice video, sorry about the lower quality sound, oh the 302 is all stock to my knowledge, and the only mods are the 4 barrel Edelbrock performer carb, and Edelbrock Aluminum performer intake, and the soon to be connected Accel super coil :)oh and the triangular Edelbrock K&N chrome air cleaner which was off in the video, oh and the headers are stock 80s mustang 5.0 headers, its bone stock to my knowledge and was rebuilt, and to our once over look at the crank and intake valley and under the covers, this motor looked like new!

ever hooked up that tach yet? whats the idle on a cold start? and whats the idle warm?

still have not hooked up the tach yet, been to busy with other parts of the truck (like body work and transmission console and shifter), and its been way to cold out to work in the garage some days, i will post as soon as we have the tach hooked up, imagine next week we can hook up the tach, it was hooked up before on the other 302w, but doesn't seem to work right now? we have to work out a few bugs

thanks Brent your a great guy.same mods and same engine wow! right down to the coil. i have a video its me revving to 3500 with a bad timing chain, it sure does sound like it has a cam, but i hope not lol because my timing wouldn't be at 6, i would probly have to run 8-10 btdc

i got the 600, with electric choke for luxury ;) lol and it only cost me some 200 bills :) lol it was a rebuilt one direct from edelbrock and it has weber on the side, i heard that edelbrocks and webers are one in the same, and edelbrocks/webers are the best in my mind of carbs, and the good old ford carbs where good carbs too, but i wanted a reman 4 barrel so edelbrock was the best choice, and i will never allow holley in my engine bay ;) and the intake was 189 and the air cleaner was 89 + tax!
