Wow, it's really nice you take the time to refute these types of allegation. When you visit certain social networks with a political flavor and it's even worse. Misquotes, editing and blatant lies are just being chucked out there. And since a lot of people don't even bother to verify sources or even question anything, then propaganda sometimes plants it's seed of ignorance in 'innocent' minds. Maybe you prevented a few of these seeds to take root!

@sotthapana today's democrats don't care about imperialism, the welfare-warfare state, how the governance is structured, even if they have a voice---they just want stuff. Their understanding of "the constitution" is what they were taught (that they "deserve" the state to give them a nice life.) the republicans just are militarist-corporatist in the military-medical industrial complex, wanting health care for pharm companies. So, it's welfare-statist-fascist and leftist all together. sad

@hallavast I wholeheartedly agree. I mean have a gold standard for treasury notes AND no legal tender laws.

@shamgar001 It's a matter of the legal tender issue. When you pay somebody in dollars, they aren't free to say "no you have to pay me in gold.". If you try to pay someone in gold, they can say "cash only". This gives USD a competitive advantage that has virtually eliminated all other competition. If you want a free money market, the government has to shut up and let people figure out what they want to use as a currency and write it into their contracts for themselves.

@hallavast Why not both? Government-issued currency should be gold-backed, but people are still free to use other currencies.
