@cjsnanny that's an old post. i've been on remicade for the better part of a year now. honestly i do not feel it's helped me. the first 4 months on it i just kept getting worse with chronic fatigue, pain, even blurry vision and weird itching that would lead to scabs all over my legs.
finally, i tried an elimination diet. giving up dairy, nuts and sugar had no effect but when i got to wheat it was like a switch flipped. 90% of my crohn's symptoms gone overnight. I am not celiac either.

@jwallbanger I have injections every 8 weeks. I started out every 6 weeks and there is nothing to it. It is an infusion and it takes about 2&1/2 hours. I feel so much better after.
I complained for years and years and just about dead they found out I had Crohns. I take alot of medication. I am 56 years old now and they found it about 10 years ago. I complained most of my life, my stomach hurt so bad. But thank God the Dr. in the ER that night thought about checking for Crohns.

Just a note to any nurses and doctors who work in emergency rooms. If a patient comes in with a complete intestine blockage from Crohns, please understand the pain is more intense than any kidney stone or child birth. The only way to reduce the pain is a high dosage of Morphine. Last emergency visit in 2008 was in the waiting room for 5 hours with no pain medicine. Worst experience of my life.
