Mission 64, the final mission. You're fighting Vercingetorix, a superboss who has 15,840,000 HP. He can deal lots of damage and heal himself. However, with the right strategy this is an easy battle, I still consider Mission 62 the hardest. Have Lightning, Vanille, and Hope in your party and equip them with Tier 3 weapons. Equip Lightning with strength boosting accessories and the other two with magic boosting accessories. All three should also have Royal Armlets or Imperial Armlets to reduce damage and Genji Gloves. Have these Paradigms:

Assassination (SAB/RAV/SAB)
Relentless Assault (COM/RAV/RAV)
Discretion (COM/MED/MED)
Rapid Growth (SYN/SYN/SYN)
Tortoise (SEN/SEN/SEN)
Cerebus (COM/COM/COM) (optional)

Use a Deceptisol and Aegisol before the battle to help out in the beginning. When the battle begins, debuff Vercingetorix with Deshell, Deprotect, and mots important of all, Poison. Always put Poison on him, this is invaluable in this battle. When this is done, switch to Relentless Assault and attack him until he does Impenetrable Aura. When he does this, he heals 8% of the damage dealt to him. During this time he is immune to everything, so this is when you switch to Discretion and heal and Rapid Growth and recast Faith, Bravera, Haste, and other buffs he will take off. When he's done healing, continue the attack.

Sometimes you'll stagger him. You can either stay in Relentless Assault and keep attacking him or switch to Cerebus during this, though it will likely only last a few seconds.

When he casts Wicked Whirl, immediately switch to Tortoise to reduce the damage from this attack, because it is his strongest attack. When the damage is dealt immediately switch to Discretion and heal from it.

Keep up the attack and you should be able to beat him under the time limit and earn a 5 star rating. If not, equip the Gold Watch to increase the time limit to make the battle much easier.

When you've finished him, congratulations! You've just killed a superboss.

  • yea dude i agree 62 was the hardest to 5 star also

  • Thanks Richard, thanks to your strategy I was finally able to kill this guy 5 stars and get 3 trophies right there! I'm at 88% in trophies for this game now.

  • @djparnate Cuz if keep repeating game everytime, everyone must lost interest on the game '-'

  • that Wicked Wirl seems a damn nightmare!! phew

  • @djparnate this battle system is very good, and you better stick with it because Final Fantasy XIII-2 does have the same battle system, the only problem is that some monsters became very hard, which makes it impossible to complete the game at 100%.

  • i gave up on this game coz i was dissapointed ....... why cant they just make the battle system like ff10 ? ... =(

  • instead of vanile could i use lightning? im kinda lazy for farming platinum ingots cause i be broked

  • @Helixthetiger you get a gold watch for beating him, if you equip it, it makes the target time, which you have to get under to get stars and shit, substantially higher...

  • @Leungy12252 lol, maybe thats your secret talent, you do it your own way :D
