BBC News - Ancient language discovered at Teotihuacan in Mexico

Centuries after the indigenous tribes of Mexico built their giant pyramids in Teotihuacan, discoveries are still being made.

Archaeologists are digging deep under the ancient settlement, but with only sixteen percent excavated, it's thought many more treasures are yet to be found.

Rajan Datar picks up his trowel and tiny brush, to find out more.

Once again a foreigner trying to explain our culture. "City of the gods", "There were steep steps so that they wouldn't look directly at the gods". First you need to know Nahuatl before you try to translate our place names. Teotihuacan doesn't translate to "city of the gods," it translates to "place where we create energy," since our ancestors didn't believe in "gods." After thousands of years of foreign invasion, you have yet to know our culture. It is amazing beyond what you can imagine.

i am no longer wasting energy on putting out ideas. you believe what you want. no one or no amount of evidence will ever be enough for someone with a closed mind. i know your going to retort w/ some harsh comment about what im saying. its ok! i suppose this what children go threw when they find out Santa clause and the Easter bunny where just a pack of lies made up by there parents to control there behavior for the year. pacal was an et. as we define an et in todays culture.

@WinterLamp. just because only one mask was found does not mean there are not or where not others. if the mask was representation of mosaic art than, where is the rest of it? if that where the case why not is all of there other art in the same mosaic pattern. i do think there is much strong evidence that suggests at least a few very advanced civilizations where here before even the oldest known today. Antarctica is a great place to look. there have been pole shifts.

@MEXIKAYOTL2012  it does sound ridiculous but im going with where the symbols lead. just because only one mask was found does not mean there are not or where not others. im not saying that mr. tall dark green and scaley was the god. just that some representative of a non human looking race was precieved as a god.
