The biggest, the most beautiful and the rarest species of eagle on earth. This eagle has lost its natural habitat due mining and timber exploitation of Southern Philippine islands of Mindandao and Surigao where this eagle was once abundant. This eagle is also being stolen from rainforests to be sold to collectors or hunted for sport or for food by uneducated people. Film is an excerpt of a documentary by David Attenbourough.

  • I got this video from a friend who told me it was from BBC film clip on an internet site..but the pt is the way this was made it adds the music to the drama of the eagle's magnificent control and quiet movement through the forest in search of food. This eagle is almost extinct in Philippines and there is almost no films this clear available

  • I just love the music and the way this magnificent eagle flies through the dense forest in such precision of movement.

  • just got back from leyte philippines and we spotted one over the shore of maitun leyte,

  • I hope this bird starts making a comeback.

  • thats one badass eagle!

  • what"d he get?

  • Yes...coz' i knew who made and compiles this video clips and the bacground music, the Videos are available at BBC motion gallery...the video blends well with the chosen background music.. You can film this magnificent bird if you like... There's a few birds at the Center for Philippine raptors , 2 hours drive from Manila located at U.P. Los Banos in LAGUNA and in Davao which has more eagles w/c they bred in captivity; studies suggests that there are about 300-500 individuals left in the wild.

  • This was originally uploaded by iyakabud? the filmclips and background music are the same.... you should've change the background music. though the film was from BBC motion gallery.
