@nilo824 If you're just starting out, try doing an arrangement with the autoplay smart instruments and apple loops first so you could get a feel for the interface and controls. The apple loops could be accessed via a "ribbon like icon" on the top right corner once you have your first track already setup. Have fun!

@leonearp Thanks, mate! Yeah, totally done in iMovie for the Mac. I'm still using the '09 version but this probably will still work with the newer version.
All you do is simply drag a clip over a video in your timeline, then a menu will pop out with options like replace, insert, etc. and just select Picture in Picture. What I do afterwards though, to keep it simple, is apply an effect called Swap on the PIP clip so my edited timeline will be the inset clip instead and I could still work on it.
