Not sure what's going on with DJTutor's 10minmix comp but you should enter, digital DJs need more representation.

I still have to get around to videotaping myself but I run a similar setup (VCI-100 + Trigger Finger to control 4 decks in Traktor 3.3).

Thanks for your feedback mate :) just checked DJTutors website... the 10minmix competition looks very interesting, thanks for that suggestion! I will definitely enter it... just want to get familiar with the rules first.

The FX i used are very simple in this Mix, just a Delay, Beatmasher (awesome effect, you should consider to upgrade your traktor to PRO) and a Flanger Flux to control the phase manualy. Was a bit more complicated in the first mix. :)

Good stuff. Nice use of the nano pad. Looking at getting one myself. Did you integrate the hardware into your desk there?

Yeah, i build it of parts from IKEA. Very functional and quite good looking. I posted some pics of the setup and desk in the video description.

Yeah an A&H solution would be over the top. I tested a XONE1D and 3D and they are awesome. But I really love the Jog wheels of the VCI-100, so if it's in your price range get one.

You have to decide whether you need a buildin Soundcard or not. Omni Control has one but don't expect too much from it. Should be fine for home use. I never got my hands on one, but it looks a bit toylike. On the ohter hand it has enough controls to do almost everything in Traktor. I started with hercules mk1 :D try it

An Allen & Heath would be sweet, but too expensive for getting back into it.

cool setup. Are you familar with the Numark Omni Control? Was wondering if you had any opinions on it. I've been out of deejaying since around 2000. Gave it up after taking a promotion but have recently been getting back into it. Been using Mixmeister and recently got their controller, but I don't think this is very good for live performances, when compared to Traktor. So I want to go affordable with a controller for Traktor for now.
