@jcfernandez27 : As I've said in many of my comments, Cebuano Bisaya is NOT considered a dialect. It is a language of its own. To be considered a dialect, it needs to be mutually comprehensible with a "mother" language - Tagalog in this case. A pure Tagalog cannot understand Cebuano, so does a Cebuano with Tagalog sans the Tagalization of the Filipino language. Boholano bisaya is a dialect as it is mutually comprehensible with a Cebuano Bisaya so too with the Dalaguetnon, Siquijodhon, etc..

part of the song said " si ddong nag tan-aw kang inday nag tabisay ang laway" mens the young man "dodong" is looking at her lady "inday" with his saliva from his mouth almos falling.

@mandragorra very true hehe

You guys are actually singing something most of my own countrymen don't know. The only version many of us listen to or "appreciate" is the bastardized version. Thank you very much!

@sloppyjoemagoo lol I'm half. My mom's full. She was in the audience along with my 2 cousins. haha. There was another half filipino in there and one full. So a grand total of 3 in the actual choir... and our families understood it haha. My mom actually broke down the lyrics for me when we were learning this piece. :P haha

hi kingsfreakmarz14. could you please give us a little backgrounder on why and how this piece was chosen to be sung by your choir? just a bit of a trivia...

To be completely honest, I'm not sure why our director chose this piece. We did Siyahumba, and Pseudo Yoik a few years back and our director just wanted us to be exposed to different cultures of music. :)
